Pest beetles eating Bristol customers precious Asian wooden furniture
Aquadri's expert knowledge of over 60 wood boring beetles came in the nick of time
Aquadri Pest Control were called out to a job in Bristol where a family had imported into the UK a substantial amount of furniture from Asia. The owners had reported that they could hear noises coming from several items of furniture and so decided to call in the pest experts to see if we could find the cause.
Upon careful examination, Aquadri found numerous examples of long horn and wood boring (Cerambycidae) beetles. From our previous experience with these beetle based pests, we know that the beetles have a long life cycle and the larvae stage can span many years whilst the pest is inside, damaging the wood of furniture. It is only when the adult pest beetle emerges from a seemly good piece of timber do you know you have problems.
Needless to say, we knew exactly what to do to remove the pests from the furniture and to prevent any damage to the customers precious furniture.
